OK, I'm back. Had some flowers action, the Bear Paw Poppy is going off big time on Rainbow Garden & Kodachrome. Most of the Beavertail Cactus is done but the Cholla is just starting to bloom. Indigo Bush and Desert Blazing Stars are starting to take over
But the main thing I discovered is BLM did a trail restoration on Kodachrome. Basically they made the entire trail do-able in a 2wd truck. Looks like they took a big dozer and re-cut the entire trail from top to bottom. All the small steps and waterfalls - gone! The big divots in the small uphill _ gone! The slight offcamber into the wash on the other side of the hill - widened and gone! All the offcamber sections all the way to the big wash - gone! It is so easy that I had 2 pre-runner type trucks blow by me thinking they were on a closed race course, and if I hadn't been pulled off to the side I would have been part of a big old pile of junk. Not good!! Be careful is you go out there.
