A new site that is being worked on, centered around the Pony Express Route through Nevada.

Thanks Gary,
This will be a cool site when completed. With much history involved.

A good start. Two trails I'd like to run at some point (likely in bits and pieces) is the Pony Express trail and the Lassen-Applegate emigrant trail, running from the Humboldt River west of Winnemucca, across the Black Rock Desert, northwest to extreme northeastern California.

Thanks for the link, I’ve bookmarked it. I’ve done much of the Pony Express across Utah, but just bit-n-pieces of it across Nevada.

Your lucky, that’s close for you, for me it’s a long drive to the trail head near Rye Patch. I had about 9 days on the trail, but had to by-pass a few things, of course I need to go back anyway. :D

When I was up that way the Yellow Dog Ranch had just built a guest cabin. I don’t know how far they have got with it, but here’s a web site. http://www.oldyelladogranch.com/index.asp

I’ll look forward to your write-up Dave when you do this trip. 8)
