Post subject:  CB, and 2 meter installed, finally!
Trying to get the FJ all trail worthy and wanted to share some of my handywork. I installed a Cobra CB, and Yaesu FT1900. I am using the Bandi Mount for the CB with the 4ft Firestick, spring and quick disconnect. For the 2 meter I am using a Comet lip mount and dual band antenna. I also installed 2 relay controlled circuits feeding an add on Blue Sea fusebox under the dash. While I was in there I went ahead and hard wired the GPS, and got everything ready for the light bar when it arrives. I've programed in all the local 2 meter repeaters so if anyone wants to point out the busy ones, please do. :)

This is the relay setup: 2 40Amp breakers feeding direct battery into two 40 amp relays that are controlled by the ignition switch:

Very nice install. I really like how you found a place to put a full-sized Cobra 29 in your vehicle. Some people shy away from the bigger CB's because of space limitations, but the added features are nice to have.

Thanks! I looked at several places in the truck, including overhead. (which I have seen done) I just didn't like the other options so this is what works for me. :D I'm suprised at the aurio level as well. Not hard to hear even from back there.
