Anybody who has yet to put a permanent-mount antenna on their rig might like to look at this one. eBay item # 110124863694. This antenna will NOT work with a magnetic mount. Not even magnetic NMO style. You would still need to get an (non-magnetic) NMO mount...this is the one used in the Emergency Comms/Land Mobile Radio industry...for about $10, with the shipping. Additionally, might need to make a 3/4" hole in the body to mount the thing, depending upon your choice of mount style. I have a 3/4" hole saw made just for this purpose by Larsen/Radiall and will, for Diet Coke, be glad to do this for you. It's REALLY hard to punch that first hole in the body, but pretty easy to do your 700th or so... |
