Looking to get some kind of an on board air system.

The primary use will be to inflate my 31'' bfg's. I do not have any lockers at this time.

There are lots of choices in the market and would enjoy to hear some opinions.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Depends on how much money you want to spend.

a lot of people just use either Compressed Air tanks to fill up or Smitty built compressors.

You can do a Kilby system which is belt driven and can easily handle even air tools and what not.

Depending on how deep your pocket is, there are various options.
You can get a SCUBA setup, like I use, from about $150. Power tank (CO2) has a variety of setups. You can also install electric compressors, Viair and Quick Air (also installed on my Jeep) and others are options. Or you can go with an engine driven unit like York or Kilby. The next run that you are on, talk to various people to see what they are using.

I have a viair mounted in one of my jeeps. I like it but it takes up room because of the storage tank. Also a power tank that I can switch between vehicles. Even a cheap pep boys portable compressor that I carry once in a while. Lots of choices. Not a simple question.

I am kind of leaning towards the smittybilt 2781. I like the portable size. I might grow into something else later but feel this is a good place to start.

Not sure of your time frame but there is an ARB group buy going on right now on the Toyota forum. Looks like it will end around mid march, so not sure if you are willing to wait 5 weeks or so.

The prices aren't public so you would have to PM the organizer for specific prices on the units (or pm me for prices on the CKMA12 and CKSA12 ... I don't know the others)
But I can tell you it's worth checking into.

The group buy also includes lockers.
