There is an outside outlet by the front door that my son had all the christmas lights plugged into. While watering the plants the outlet got wet and tripped a gfi at an outlet in the garage. I've dryed the outsdie outlet off but the gfi still won't re-set, any ideas? Can't find any breakers tripped in the box just the stupid re-set button in the garage not re-setting. Thanks in advance.

Possibly the GFI is bad. May need to be replaced.

It doesn't take much moisture to trip
One of those. Maybe still wet inside the receptacle. Make sure there is power going into the gfi. There could be another one farther back on the circuit that was mistakenly wired into the circuit and has tripped also. I've seen everything. Y'all take care now brad. :)
