Anybody know how long it takes to ship a Jeep across the pond? I do! I shipped her out on the 15th of January (after a couple of delays due to an Italian cruise ship Captain attempting to use naval equipment in an environment suited for a tank) and she arrived in LA on March 26th. Sunrunner and I drove down (I LOVE Compton! ) to get her. I drove MY! Jeep for the first time again yesterday! I am happier than a skinny tick on a fat dog! It doesn't matter that she drinks dead dinosaurs faster than one of the fore-mentioned Compton inhabitants drinks a 40. She is my Jeep and I love her!

I don't know if I'll be able to make the April club run, but I'll see y'all on the trails soon!

Andy

Sounds like you shipped it on January 15th 1870 on a Clipper ship around the Horn.

Funny, I seem to remember some guy taking a Jeep where only a boat should go. I wonder if he and Francesco aren't related?

It may be longer than expected until I am on the trails again. I got a CEL P0432. Comes back to catalytic converters. Unfortunately, my Jeep is just out of warranty on emissions equipment so I have to do it myself. The parts are ordered but I don't know when I will have time to do it. All I really know is that time is running out. My German registration expires on the 25th so I need to do it soon.

Are you sure it is the CAT. Might also be the O2 sensor.

I am pretty sure it is the cat on mine. I had the same code twice before. I cleared it the first time by a couple of blows on the cat with a hammer. The second time, it went away on its own. Either way, I'll probably change all four 02 sensors when the new down pipe comes in. Seems to me that it would be easier that way anyway.

My cats got here today. I don't have time this weekend to tear into the Jeep as I have to take my Mom to the airport tomorrow. I am not sure how long it is going to take me to swap the parts out but I don't want to start on Sunday and not have the Jeep back together in time to drive to work on Monday.

Maybe next weekend.
