I received an email from a tv producer looking for some help.
Quote:
I'm a television producer working on a History Channel series -- we're going to be producing an off-road trip episode of the series between Death Valley and Las Vegas in a few weeks and are looking for off road clubs who know the trails and who might be available to offer some of their expertise & assistance to us.

If you're interested please shoot me a note and addtl contact information and I'll get back you. I will be in the area next week.

Thanks

In 2000 I was contacted by an individual from Sun's Anvil Productions to participate in a video on Death Valley ghost towns slated for the History Channel. The History Channel never picked up the show, but it was and still is marked in the greater Death Valley area in a video called GHOST TOWNS OF DEATH VALLEY. As well as myself, author/historians Stan Paher (GHOST TOWNS OF DEATH VALLEY and GHOST TOWNS OF NEVADA), Fred Holobird, Susan Sorrells, Linda Greene (historian/archivist of Death Valley National Park) and others appear on screen. It is a very slick production and well done. I have a number of items in my collection of ephemera and photographs of the region and these were used as well in the production, as well as those from the others.

Sun Never Sets, Sun's Anvil. History Channel. May or may not be connected. If the Nevada Backroaders go for it, there is the potential for fun. Unless the want to do extreme off roading and destroy a few vehicles ...

There was one a few weeks ago looking to borrow vehicles. Hope that this isn't that one.
