I'm looking for a glove box for a 2000 or later Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I actually only need the latching mechanism for the glove box.

None of the 3 auto-junk parts lots I checked had any Grand Cherokees.

The dealer wants $90 for just the latch and $285 for the whole box. Seems they don't carry just the mechanism part. If we can tear it down to repair it, the dealer doesn't have it available to do it like that.

I'm going to go into the plastic molding industry if I can get $90 just for the latch itself!!

Hey Uncle Buck,,, go to "Pick Your Part" junk yard !! It's amazing what you can find.. I've done it several times.. Not only is it cheap,, but it's fun too !!! Phil
