On Wednesday Oct 20 2010 6 months to the day my white kitty died I had to have my black cat that we had for 15 years put to sleep. He had been sick for about a month and we believe he had cancer. I held his head and was petting him when he passed. He will be cremated and we will keep him with us.
I must say this has been the worst year of my life. I miss going on the runs, but my life has been in turmoil for most of the year. One bad thing after another. I just want this year to end.

The hardest part of having pets in your life is the fact that you tend to outlive them. I lost my cat of 18 years a few months ago. It still hits me every now and then. But, having, and losing, pets, is infinitely better than never having pets in your life at all.
