Hi there,

I'm looking for someone(or reference to someone) to come to my house and help me get my jeep started. It died mid accelleration and seems to be something electrical related. It's been so long since I've had a jeep that I do not feel comfortable doing it myself anymore, and rather pay and learn a little. I live by Red Rock Station Casino.

I am taking a turn in my jeep, and half way into accelerating the engine cuts off. I immediately smell a little burn, coast to the side of the road. Try and start the engine again...the thing is trying to crank, but doesnt start. The lights and other electrical things work.

It's a 90 YJ, Howell TBI, tranny was swapped to an auto, 4.2 engine. The PO replaced the engine and did a bit of wiring work so I am not sure close to original the engine bay is(wiring wise).

Here is a thread with some suggestions on the problem.

Thank you very much,

Tony
