Alrighty, heading out to Texas tomorrow. Amarillo.

working for tips is for suckers and I ain't doing it anymore.

sorry I didn't get a chance to put together a last sort of run with people, but I've been so busy with everything.

if things work out the way I hope they do with school, I can be back shortly with a few visits in between.
(I just hope I don't get in and just hate it, but hey, that's what makes this so exciting!)

seriously, thanks for showing me the Mojave and making me fall in love with it.

thanks for the work parties.

thanks for the mudflap jokes.

thanks for getting me out one of the worst stucks ever.

Many of you I am connected with on Facebook and I will continue to participate on the club website and give my 45 cents.

The Club stickers are staying on the Jeep so people there will know about the best damn Jeep Club in the nation.

Keep a passenger seat open for me for when I come back to visit.

the backroaders have allways used the word "jeep" in the southest u.s.a. way. that is, anything that's 4 wheel drive is a "jeep". 8)

update time.

I am enrolling in what's called a Nuclear medicine program. Beth and Tom and any of the other nurses in the group will be familiar with it, but it's mostly imaging and all that; you inject people with radioactive stuff and find out if they're working right.

it sounds interesting to me, the school is inexpensive, and the pay is competitive, so the return on the investment is hopefully a win.

I do my first clinical site visit tomorrow, which is required of all prospective students.

I was kinda nervous about it, but there is a 100% graduation rate at the school.

Barnes and Noble also carries quite a few books with backroads and trails here in Texas. More than you would think. And more than I was aware of when I lived out here before while growing up. When I finally get to hit a trail (hiking or Jeeping), I'll post up pics. All kinds of small towns to check out, too.

and way better Mexican food than in Vegas.

Insurance is cheaper but you're still in Texas. I would rather put up with Andy then be in Texas.

so it gets better for me. lol

I was applying for work at the school district (screw attending school for now, they're still charging me out of state, and I ain't down with that), and I hand delivered my college transcripts to them. Pay rate is better if you have your master's, which I do.

but not according to my transcripts.

it doesn't indicate on there that a master's degree was awarded. Bachelor's yes, master's no.

despite the degree I have right now here with me and the student loan debt to prove it.

exciting times!

honestly that is something I never in a million years would have thought to look at, since ya know....see above re: holding the degree.
they never would have sent that to me if I owed anything or didn't finish a class or something. It's been so long, now.

I know I applied 2 or 3 times to CSN to teach Political Science part-time. No wonder they never hired me...prolly thought I was a stinkin' liar when they saw my transcripts.
