Did anyone here know this guy? Michael Cook from Pahrump? I know this is more than a week old, but I just saw it on the Archaeology.org site,

this was in the LV Sun.

he's one of several people that have been caught and delt with in the last couple years. i don't know of him personally but if i'd have come across him while he was doing his deed he wouldn't have made it to a grand jury or any jury for that matter. :evil:

I've hiked Sloan canyon many times over the past 20 years and I've seen the damage increase as people have taken souvenirs, or otherwise destroyed those petroglyphs. And it ticks me off.
I don't know how they're going to protect Sloan seeing as more master planned sprawl encroaches.
