Nevada Backroaders

Anybody have any luck selling a vehicle to Carmax? I'm going to Japan for three years and would like to sell my 04 Grand Cherokee and would like to do it as painless as possible. I have to be in Japan in March.

I think it's pretty quick and painless there if you just need to get rid of something.

Alright, I'll see what the offer me...I don't have much time to sell it and it is gonna cost me for me to keep it. When I come back I can buy some other Jeep. I'm keeping the Cherokee though. It's paid for and my baby.

Just out of curiosity, what are you looking to get out of it? What are the specs? V-8, accessories, etc.

I sold my Sidekick at carmax. Didn't get much for it, but it was very easy.

Its a business man, they are looking to make money. I had a year old honda civic I was going to sell to them before I PCS'd to Yokota AB, Japan in 2005. They offered me around 3 grand less than what it was worth NADA. The honda stealership offered me more than they did. I kept my honda at a friends and paid it off while I was there. Good luck, I say try your hardest to sell it before you go. Make them your last resort

I agree with the last post. They are alright for a backup plan if you cant find anybody interested. I got a Sierra 4X I got from them with a decent deal. Definitely shop around tho.
