Hi all -
As the Marketing Coordinator for Alexander Dawson School I do all the advertsing and marketing. Along with that is producing our newsletter magazine, the Petroglyph. I typically write the stories (with ideas and concepts from others), take the pictures, do the layout in Adobe InDesign, and in general make the thing look pretty good (OK, if I do say so myself!).
Prior to my incarnations, the Petroglyph really didn't have much to do with Petroglyph's, thus my previous issue had a big Petroglyph (Newspaper Rock in Utah) picture as part of the title (Sep.07). My latest issue (Apr.08) kept that petroglyph picture throughout the newsletter (The top of each page, as well as the last page background for the Remember the Dates) but I used a picture that I took when we went out to Logandale on Feb. 23. We were going to the Bowltrail - but didn't get to go because of MX racing. I'm not sure where we went exactly.
But coming from one section of hills, coming through the beautiful desert, the Logandale Red Rocks were in the foreground. It was really a beautiful sight seeing them looming ahead- and so I thought it would be perfect for the newest cover picture.
I did have to edit out the Nevada Backroader Jeeps...but I want to thank the club as a whole for going out to awesome and beautiful places so that I could take these pictures.
Below is a link to the Petroglyph in PDF - you can see the picture of the Logandale Redrocks right there on the front part of the title.
I've also posted the picture pre and post edit just so you can see what a pretty sight.

I hope you like the pictures, and again, thanks for taking me places that are just beautiful.
