Since the last time the site was down about a week ago, it has been really slow. It can take up to a minute or more to open any page.
It's not my link as all other sites work fine.
May need to reboot the server, or see if there is an over utilization of resources or something.

the hosting company is experianceing some issues while switching clients over to what they call "the new platform". i keep getting told to be patient and things will get better. trust me, i'm on dial-up so i've got the slowest speed anyone can have. if it doesn't get better soon i will have to look into a differant hosting service but that may mean re-building the board and re-registering everyone. that wouldn't make everyone happy either.

If you decide to migrate to a new hosting service, be sure to do a full backup of the board before you move it. This BBS software has a "recovery" function that will allow you to rebuild the forum and not lose the original posts or members.

Let me know if you get to that point and I can work with you to get it migrated to a new host. The down side is that the board will have to be down for a few days while the URL is transferred to the new host and the DNS servers get updated.

nothing needs to be lost in the transition to a new hosting service.
pointing to a new location usually takes 24 hrs downtime.
