Did the gas cap thing, light went off for awhile but came back on. Guy at Auto Zone said it was easily fix, and that my daughter and I could probably replace the sensor, is that true?
Thanks,

You'll find the O2 sensor screwed into the exhaust pipe, just below where it joins up to the exhaust manifold (the many-branched pipe that attaches to the engine block). As Justin said, unplug the electrical harness, unscrew the old sensor, screw in the new sensor and plug the electrical harness back up. They can be tough to remove, so it might help to run the engine until it reaches operating temperatures before trying to remove the old sensor...but this will add a burn danger to the one underneath working on the engine. After you've replaced the old sensor with the new one, you'll also need to reset the emission maintenance timer. If your Jeep is '91 or later, then you'll need to pick up a special tool from the auto parts store to do this. Then, you can either take your Jeep to the dealership to have them reset the dash light, or you can disconnect the battery and "reboot" the computer to get it to go out.
We're going wheeling tomorrow morning, but let me know if you need any help with this, I'll be happy to lend a hand. Cell: 409-599-9408
