Can the Rubi curse cause other Jeeps to have problems even if there is not an actual Rubi running the trail at the same time? Since my Jeep is set up similar to a Rubi, everything minus the name and 4:1 transfer case, I'm beginning to think that my Jeep is a Rubi curse carrier that has been infected somehow by someone's Rubi. Image Why do I say that?

1. Al breaks a front driveshaft on the Bowl trail's triple waterfall. He and I meet at the Dunn-Edwards paint store. I got there before him. He breaks a driveshaft.

2. Al breaks a front axle on the rocks at Matterhorn. Again, he and I meet at the paint store, I arrive before him, he breaks the axle.

3. Al's Jeep dies on the way home from a short little lake/Eagle Wash run, while on pavement. We meet at the Chevron gas station at Horizon, I arrive before him, his Jeep dies.

Is this coincidence or is it the curse? Or is it that every time I arrive before him something happens to his Jeep? Other times he's been waiting for me, everything was fine. I wonder...maybe I should get out and exercise my Jeep more often. Or maybe I should just be late meeting up with everyone. Image What do you think?

Two things here.

1. I think you need to take your jeep out more often to play!
2. You need to show up late to all organized runs!

If that does not work, then get a live chicken, and sacrafice it to the jeep gods, and see if that helps?

2 words. Fashionably late. Always. Al's wife will really appreciate it and I'm sure Al will as well. Go ahead sleep in for 20 minutes, pick a donut store to meet at so Al has something to do while happily waiting for you.
Can we BBQ the sacrificial chicken afterwards?

You could always point the finger at AL. Why take the blame for his misfortune. Tell him he has to get a better maintainance program, or buy a new Jeep. ALWAYS MAKE IT THE OTHER GUYS FAULT.

You could blame it on a third party that way no one there has to be responsible. I know!!!! blame it on BOB he started the RUBI curse.

Glad I don't own a Jeep.

Hey Joe, you showed up late to Lincoln County Trails Day and had a leaky rear end (on his Jeep guys  ). How do you explain that one?

Thanks Shiela,

So far I know it's getting fuel, I cleaned and tightened all the battery connections. I think it's not getting spark. I will be working on it during the week.

Any ideas or suggestions??

Thanks!

Al does your Jeep have the old duraspark box on it? It is located on the drivers side under the radiator overflow tank. It is very common for them to go bad. They cost about $25-30 at most autoparts stores. If you have the money I changed mine to an HEI ignition, About $190 from CRT Performance. This was the best money I have ever spent, More power better preformance, Hotter spark.

Don't blame it on me. The curse is ONLY in effect if Rubi is leading or playing backdoor. Maybe, it is a square headlight thing going on.
