Sterling is a fairly easy trail that's strictly for the scenery. You all know me: there will be a few tricky spots. Meet at the Chevron in Indian Springs. Fill up in town and top off in Indian Springs (prices are a little steep). Meet at 0900, leave at 0930. Starting from the Spaghetti Bowl, Indian Springs is 45 miles away on US 95. May 22,2021.
Hope to see you there!

No doubt will be a good one but I cannot make it this time.
Enjoy it out there!

HI,
although I joined the club in 09/19, I'm new to OFF ROADING, and can use all the help I can get!
I picked up a 05 Jeep Liberty a few months ago, and have only taken it on the Rainbow Gardens Rd.
So I'm really looking forward to going on the Sterling Run, ( With Members that are experienced off roaders ) is it good for a first timer.
how far is it from Indian Springs, and how long of a run is it ?
Will I need to air down ?
Hope a Liberty is OK for off roading !
WILL YOU be monitoring CB channel 4 ?
Is there anything I should know about the run ?

Sorry for all the questions !!!
SEE YOU ON SATURDAY !

You should be fine in your Liberty as long as it has 4WD. There will be a couple of rough spots, but we'll get you though. Air down is completely up to the individual. I air down for comfort more than traction. The road is about 15 miles North of Indian Springs. We will be on channel 4. It won't be a really long run, Should be done by 3:00.
I think that's everything. Hope to see you there!

Desert Traveler:
I did a second pre-run yesterday and I'm not sure this is the best run for a total newbie. I have never recommended this before, but unless you have a small lift and all terrain tires, this may not be the best choice for a first run. I'm sure you'll make it through without damage. I just don't want you upset by two spots on the trail that are a little sketchy. But on the other hand, We are a teaching club and
pride ourselves on helping newbies. SO come if you want to and we'll spot you through the rough spots. I know I'm all over the place, but I really want you to have a good experience.

I'll see you if you come.
Kind of secretly hope you do.
Tom

My Liberty has 4WD, 2" Lift, and 245/75x16 All Terrain tires, so with Your help, I have no doubt, I could make it through the run without any problems. Unfortunately something came up last night, and I won"t be able to make it tomorrow.
Needless to say I'm very disappointed. So now I'm really looking forward to the June run! Any idea where it's going to be?
Hope You and everyone have a safe and fun time tomorrow.

With a 2 in lift and all terrains you would make it fine. I'm disappointed that you won't be there. I'll let you know about the next one. Thanks for letting me know.
