Ok boys and girls, time to make your reservations for our annual weekend in White Pine County. Not yet sure what runs are going to be offered this year. On Thursday 7/27, we will have our usual Meet and Greet BBQ. Runs will happen on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, I am hearing that there may be a train robbery in the works. Will know more about that as time gets near. Dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are provided by the Club.

Please RSVP by 7/15 to Geno, jeeptrailcat5440@yahoo.com, and myself, NevadaBackroaders@cox.net.

We need to find out how many people plan on being there, so we can get the right amount of food for dinner.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I have just made reservations for Ely KOA for myself, Rex and Shirley Knepp, Jeff and Joanne Baloo, and Bethe Leone. That's six total for your tabulation.

I would like to join all of you since I think this may be one of the better times to perhaps meet the majority of all involved here on the site itself too. I was hoping to make the June run but a recent issue of pressure loss in the coolant system isnt allowing it to keep enough pressure inside and among enough pressure to cause a leak in the plastic end tanks of the radiator. Its time to replace it with a new unit.

Cant run the risk of having a coolant failure on the trail, loosing coolant in the wild so to speak, and risking a larger catastrophe so unfortunately it wont be here until Tuesday to replace it which certainly staves off my opportunity for the run.

So I hope to maybe see all in attendance in this run.

Anyone driving back on Sunday for Vegas?
Would like to caravan back.
Towing jeep behind truck camper so a backdoor would be good for safe travels.
Thanks,
Nurse Beth

Depending on how long the festivities are on Sunday, I was debating about 1 more night for a Monday morning drive or a later in the evening drive home on Sunday..

I'll know more closer to the date of what I can feasibly get away with or not for that caravan there.

Heads up.
Driving back Sunday.
Monday morning calls to the time clock.
Thanks, but leaving early on Sunday.
If you see a white Rubicon with a Grateful Dead Stealie,
Wave.

Much as we wanted to go, we will not be able to make it this year. :( Have fun everyone. :)

What is the best route to Ely? I've never been there but would like to visit on Saturday and where does everyone get together there?

I take 93 north, top off the tank in Ash Springs, then take the 318 up to the 6, and into Ely.

We go the same way... I15 to 93, then North on 93 past Alamo and Ash Springs to 318. North on 318 on in to ELY. All of the festivities will be at Geno's residence in Ruth. Ruth is a small town about 4 miles outside of Ely.
