For the April Club run, Chris and I will be running Titus Canyon on Saturday, 4/29/17. :D For those who don't know, Titus is located a couple of miles out side of Beatty, Nevada, which is about two hours North of Las Vegas on Hwy 95. Titus Canyon starts in Nevada and ends in Death Valley, Calif. This is not a difficult run, but has beautiful scenery. We will meet at 9:00 and roll out at 9:30, from the dirt lot across from the "Eddie World" gas station on Hwy 95 in Beatty. We will be going up to Beatty on Friday, the 28th and camping over the weekend. There are a few motels and campgrounds in Beatty and we plan to stay at the Death Valley Inn Motel & campground. If you do not wish to stay in Beatty, you can just drive up for the run, then drive home. But it makes for a very long day.

At the time of this posting, Titus is not yet open to the public. :( It should be open before the date of the run, but if it not, (bad weather, flooding, etc.), we will be looking at a backup location, possibly Gold Butte. If anyone has questions or needs directions, please let me know.

Change of plans: Chris and I will be camping at the Long Street Hotel & Casino, located in Amargosa Valley. When you arrive in Amargosa Valley on Hwy 95, turn left, (South), on Hwy 373 and proceed for approximately 22 miles. The Long Street will be on your right. When we were on the March club run, I spoke to club member and Long Street owner Jim Marsh who said that they have been very busy and if I could get a possible head count of those wishing to stay there, to let him know as soon as possible. So anyone who thinks they may want to stay or camp at the Long Street, please let me know either here on the site, or by phone. My cell is: 702 335-2488. Nothing else about the run has changed, same time and location. Thanks.

Ouch. Either run is great, however, we will be out of town that weekend. Have fun all.

New to the group and this would be our first trip. When you say you are going to be camping, do you mean tent camping? Also, sounds like you are going to be camping two nights, Friday in Beatty and Saturday night in Death Valley?

Some of us have campers and some have tents. The trip is a round trip so we'll be spending both nights in Beatty. I'm staying at the Death Valley Inn Campground in Beatty as well.

We'll be there! Don't think we'll be staying overnight though.

What do I mean by "camping"...

Chris and I have a travel trailer, which we will be staying in that weekend. Some of us have RV's of some kind, motor home, travel trailer, truck with camper, etc. Whenever we plan one of these weekend runs, we usually stay somewhere that has both a campground and motel(s), close by. I believe you can also tent camp at the campground if you like. Both the Long Street Hotel and the Death Valley Inn, have campgrounds as well as rooms. I hope this helps.

I'm so disappointed! My wife and I are leaving on Saturday for a cruise. If you do a pre-run we could make that, or we will see you all in May.

I got a room at the Beatty Motel 6 for the night of the 29th.

Figure I'll drive out early, do the run, but then can relax for the night before heading home.

See you guys there!
