Jack Ross is leading May's club run. Jack has been Vegas Valley's trail boss for many years. So he knows what he is doing. Will meet at the Shell station on EAST Lake Mead Blvd above Hollywood Blvd at 7121 address. Meet at 9:00 and roll at 9:30. A very close in run with lots of stops . One is at the Anniversary Mine . Very easy run and very interesting. See you there. Rex for Jack Ross. That is the Lake Mead Blvd in Las Vegas not in Henderson.

Is this the trail that's been in the news lately? The one that is inaccessible because the owner of the property around the mine has gated the road? Just wondering. |

Hi folks... I just wanted to put in this disclaimer about the run. As you may know, part or this run goes through Lake Mead National Rec Area. You are usually required to pay a fee to enter a National Park, but I have been informed the route we are taking will allow us to pass through without having to pay a fee. I wanted to mention there is a possibility we may have to pay the fee after all, but we won't know till we get there. John.

I plan on being there with my geology buddy David, and my new navigator..... who does not have a name yet. I pick her up at the Lied Shelter today. If you remember what Toto looked like in the Wizard of Oz, then you know what my new companion looks like. It has been five years since my 18-year-old cat passed away, It is time for a new companion.
