After prerunning the proposed route for the night run, it has been determined that the original route is unacceptable, as there are several obstacles that would be extremely difficult to navigate. Therefore, the night run has been changed. We will still meet at 7:00 p.m., and leave at 7:30, but the meeting place will be in Pahrump at the Gold Town Casino. We will be running Wheeler Pass from Pahrump to the pass, and back to Pahrump. The Cold Creek side of Wheeler Pass is too difficult to run at night. |

This topic thread has been edited. The run has changed after the prerun was done. This should eliminate any possible confusion. |

Too bad the pre-run showed the route to be non-club-run-friendly. (It was awesome, though!) I hope to make the run, but I'll have to wait until Saturday to know or sure. I'm flying down to LA, and back, on Friday for a Dr. Appt, and I'll have to see how I'm doing on Saturday. I hope to come - and so does David (my knowledgeable geology person - say that 5 times fast), who has always wanted to do Wheeler, but never has. |

Thanks for the great run last nite and this morning.Rod and Bob did a good job route finding and keeping everyone together. For what it's worth, don't put a GoPro on the outside of your Jeep. GoPros and dust don't mix Frank |

Thanks for a very fun evening! David, my geology buddy, was especially pleased to go down the other side, into Cold Creek. Wheeler Pass had long been on his 'to do' list. Now, we just need to run it in the daytime as well. And, I also want to go see Clark Canyon in the daytime too. |
