I was planning on October, but got beat to it, so I'll put in to lead November. Looking at November 16th, and am looking to go into Arizona and run the El Dorado Jeep Trail, go down Jumbo Wash road, and then take Big Horn Cove road. We will end up at Willow Beach. Good chance of seeing Big Horn sheep as I have seen them twice while scouting this run. :D

As above, Nov 16th to run El Dorado Jeep trail, then down Jumbo Wash, the Big Horn Cove Road. Fairly easy on the first two, with Big Horn Cove being more technically challeging with on short hill maybe a 2.5. LWB friendly.

Meet at the Rebel station in Boulder City at 8:30, roll at 9:00 The run is a little long, so make sure you bring snacks, etc. We will go about 25 miles into Arizona down 93 before leaving the pavement, and it is about 46 miles of dirt. Lunch will be a little late as it will be at the bottom of Big Horn Cove road. We will finish at Willow Beach. See you then and there. :D

Walt...

In your post, you say you scouted the run. Was it a pre-run? What is it rated and is it stock friendly? Anything above a 2.5 rating should be a fun run.

We scouted the trail to make sure it was still ok after all the rains this summer. It is stock and LWB friendly with only one stretch on the Big Horn Cove road getting to about a 2+. PM sent to you, John. :D

Here we are back on "Normal Human" time, and I had to use my headlights going home from work at 4:45 PM. So. just a hint, as it will probably after 4 PM when we get to Willow Beach to air up, and it is down by the river with some high hills to the West, bring a flashlight. See you then and here. :D

Plan on joining the run. Staying in Laughlin a few days. Also plan on exploring
trails for half a day or so on Sunday in the Laughlin/Oatman area, let me know
if anybody wants to join Sunday.

Walt:
We are in and bringing my sister in their Rubi - so two rigs (one visitor and I will pay their fee). Thanks much for taking the lead on this.

Dear trukdj. Finding your jeep keys is a good way to start a jeep. Next, drink in cup holder or jam the can between e-brake and seat. After that, click your heels 3 times and say, "there is no place like an a dirt road". Memories and pants are sure to remind you on the rest. See ya tomorrow.
