Hello all... Chris & I have decided to lead the October run to Titus Canyon. This is one our favorite runs, :D but because it's located in Death Valley we want to wait until October. The date will be Saturday the 12th. For those not familiar with this run, it is up near Beatty which is about 2 hours north of Las Vegas on 95. There are places to stay overnight, or you can just go up for the day. We will meet at 8:30 across the street from the "Eddie's World" gas station and roll at 9:00. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Love that run, I'll be there. Probably be camping at Death Valley Camp Ground in Beatty. Anyone else?

Shirley and I will be there. Stay at the same campground that Tom is staying at. We are going to do the Beatty wash the day before if anyone is interested come by the camp site at 8:30 and we will leave from there. Change of plans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My brother is comming in that weekend and I won't be able to do the Beatty wash. So, sorry , that run for that day only is canceled. This has nothing to do with the Titus Canyon run. It is a different run ,and still on.

It has been far too long since I did Titus. Maybe I'll be able to make it this time.

Sounds good. Hope the weather agrees. Should be cooler temps. Death Valley Inn RV, Motel and Spa is my choice for a base camp. See ya there.

Haven't been on a run in a while and we will try out hardiest to make this one. Been really hectic with the store opening and hopefully ill be able to sneak away for the weekend. We too would camp so let us know what to bring as far as food. Maybe we can do a whole pot luck kind of thing.

Paul and Sarah.

Paul, normally when we do a camp out you bring whatever meat or whatever you want to put on the grill and then something to share, a side dish or dessert. Not too sure if we will be doing our Sunday AM "community breakfast" or not. We will come prepared for it and anyone who wants to can join in. Should be a fun weekend. See you there.

Since the Government has shut down, thought I should mention this. A large part of the Titus Canyon run goes through the Death Valley National Park, so when the Government shut down, the National Parks also shut down along with Titus. :( With any luck, the shut down won't last very long. I will wait till the first of next week and see what happens. If it looks like the shut down will end in time, Titus is on. If not, I will make other arrangements at that time. Hopefully, it will be enough time for anyone who has reservations to cancel them or what ever they need to do.

Is there something else we can do in the area, if Titus is off limits? I know there probably wouldn't be a chance to pre-run anything, so perhaps the status would have to change from 'club run' to 'fun run' just in case, but whaddya think?

I'm going anyway. We can always do Bare Mt. or Gold Point. Rex and myself are going up Wednesday and could possibly be persuaded to do a pre-run. Would rather do that than cancel

We are not going to cancel the club run. If Titus is not open, we are looking into doing Bare Mtn. :o
