First of all, I want to thank everyone that showed up and helped with the pre-run. Everyone had a great time, even though the "ruby curse" made a minor appearance. :roll: This is a long run. We left The Casablanca at 9:10am and when we got back to Mesquite, it was after 5:00pm. It was dark and my speedometer read 120 miles. :shock:

The run is stock friendly. There are a couple of spots that make it a little interesting, but nothing too challenging. :D

OK... Meet at the Terrible's just East of The Casablanca on Mesquite Blvd. Meet at 8:00, roll at 8:30. If anyone has any questions, let me know. Hope to see you there.

There are two RV parks around the Casablanca. One is in the Casablanca's rear parking lot, the other is larger and is on the North side of Mesquite Blvd across from the Terrible's where we are meeting. Both are operated by the Casablanca, so you can call them to make reservations for either one.

I think we are staying at the one on Mesquite Blvd.

It looks like Elisabeth and I should be able to make this one.

Havent decided on Camping or hotel yet, but looking forward to making a weekend of it.

I don't plan on camping or overnighting and am wondering about time, distance and gas...How far from Vegas is this and how long is the run?

It's about 90 miles to Mesquite. When we did the pre-run, we left from the Casablanca at a little after 9:00am. When we got back to town, it was after 5:00pm, dark and my speedometer showed 120 miles. Since there were only 5 vehicles and it was a pre-run, we really didn't spend too much time at any of the stops. The actual run may take longer, depending on the number of vehicles that show up. There is a Terrible's station just to the East of the Casablanca, we will be meeting there at 8:00am and rolling at 8:30am. Make sure you have gas and bring your lunch. :D

Well, due to the BLM bringing more folkes out for a field trip this weekend, I will miss this run. :( They need my empty seat in Flipper. If our efforts are rewarded we may have some of the local trails in the valley reopened. Wish us luck ! :wink:
