I would like to do Westin Talic Mine and Sperry Wash Saturday Feb the 18th. Meet at the corner of 160 just before Pahrump and the road to Tecopa , the Old Spanish Trail. Meet at 9:00 and roll at 9:30. Trail rated a 2.5. The first part of it is a lot of ledge trails , and a steep down hill. It is stock doable but it must be 4wheel drive. A little care and going slow and you should make it ok. There is many water crossings and lots of rocks. Bring lunch. Have fun and enjoy a little challenge. Rex :D PS: I failed to say this is a very beautiful run. Thru several large open pit mines. I also want to go to cathedral canyon.

This is a great run! If you want a little preview, here are two videos I took on the pre-run. Amazing what's possible with a little hand-held camera these days.

It has been too long. Elisabeth and I are going to try and make this one.

Hopefully we can find the meet up point. Anyone have the GPS coro for it?

Thanks,
Mike

I'm hoping to get out in the dirt with the TJ. Looks like a fun trail and an awesome run. Keeping my fingers crossed to be able to make it.

No, not this trip Mike. I don't have enough seats for the family in the Grand just yet, and the baby is still a little too young (7 months), so it will be me and my 6yr old, Marcus in the TJ. That's if he wants to go. :P

It's been a long time Joe. Hope we all go on this one....
Maybe you need to trade the WJ for a Suburban ;)

Take care my friend. Hope to see you soon.

Years ago my wife and I were part of the Backroader's club and enjoyed every minute. We finally found ouselves in a 4x4 again, and would like to try this run. Do you think a 100% stock 2011 Jeep Liberty 4x4 would have the clearance to successfully navigate this trail ?

The Nevada Backroaders Club insists that any 4x4 vehicle should be able to make it safely on an official club run. Come on down and enjoy the fun! Glad to have you.
