I thought one of the requirements is that you must be able to fix a flat , change a tire. However it would be neat to see a VW 4x4 on the trail. Rex :)

I have to agree with Bob (much as I hate to :P ) A full size spare is pretty essential.

It's been too long since we've made a run !!! As tight as our budget is,, it seems that CJ will foot the bill for this trip !! My XJ hasn't broken anything recently and we are going to try to make it.. We really need to get out in the dirt ! I do want to be home before 5pm,, as I don't want to miss the NASCAR Allstar race... Looking forward to seeing you all... Phil

My wheel came in today so I can have my 5th mounted by Friday. I'd love to go, but I've got a Corporate Challenge event to go to Saturday. Next time for sure.

We have had a Toureg on a few runs years past. If I recall I helped change one of the tires. Slit the sidewall but I don't remember their names. Do you remember them Bob? Seems like there was a story that went along with that flat. It may have been a Tom and Leslie run. See everyone tomorrow.

I don't remember the name of the people. But I do remember having to winch them out of the mud on Sperry Wash. They wanted me to walk the winch line through the mud to hook up their car. I don't think so. The one who got stuck is the one who gets dirty.

I agree. I don't even like my winch line getting dirty. Justin can attest to that. Lol

Wonderful day today, thanks Rex and all!

The butterflies at Grapevine Springs were probably Northern White-Skippers, Heliopetes ericetorum.

Great pics, sorry we missed the run and the fun.

Yes I own a Touareg, not all Treg owners are inconsiderate SOB's.
I'm sorry some of you had a bad experience with another Touareg owner.
This Treg owner knows how to change a tire, thanks.

Beautiful pics! Last time I was up there it was snowing and muddy nasty! Looks like a great summer trip. Hate I missed it!
