There is some room at the gas station but I think you could get in a bind very easy. Rex

Frank & I are currently in Death Valley at the Visitor's Center it is 11:25 a.m. on Thursday. Titus Canyon is currently closed due to snow possible opening Sat. but no guarantee. Is there a backup plan for this run.
Please post plans so we can arrange our trip out of Death Valley.

Frank : I talked to Angie , she said we will keep the run meeting on but if we cannot do Titus then Gary had a run or Tom and I had several run ideas. Rex

Last minute storm  Even Jeeps must bow to nature once in a while
We will still meet up in Beatty, Titus if it's open, alternates will be discussed.

Last resort will make this a scenic drive around DV as the blooms are at thier peak. :?
There is alot of DV I havn't seen other than Ibex and Titus.

Don't worry, I will not be offended if turn out is low due to the uncertainty.

Contact was made with the ranger station, and Titus is CLOSED. It MAY be open by Saturday morning, but he said not to count on it. It was open as of last Monday, but the recent storm made the clay, narrow turns slick and the ranger doesn't trust them. He will check them again tomorrow.
There are plenty of other runs in the area we can do. It must be said that some have not been run by members in years, so there is no guarantee that they are still "club friendly". I hope everyone still comes along. The trails may not be pre-run, but we will have a good time.
Hope to see you there!
Is this still an official club run? I'll have to check with the other board members and see.

Wish I could be there, Jeeps in the shop, the clicking sound I had on the last run in Searchlight; It was the front Locker, locked up and will not dis-engage. A friend in a Toyota, might show up, His name is Mike Smith. I know you will take good care of him.. Jack

Titus was closed, but hanks to Backroader's ingenuity, we talked Rubicon Bob into leading us over Bare Mountain. Then some us went to Rhyalite Ghost town. Thanks Bob and Justin.
Great day!

Had a great time Saturday on the alternate run behind Bare Mtn. Thanks Bob for leading us around. It was great being out in the dirt with the Club.

Click on the pic to see what I shot that day...

A word of caution for anyone that had mutts on the run. Last time there it was about this time of year and there were ticks on top of the hill at the abandoned repeater station. Might want to check poochie over

thanks to everyone for making such a fun weekend.
I appreciated the help on the awning, the rv tips and tricks, and the visiting
the whole way home Angela was talking about how great it was that the rv could pull
our little rubicon :D

A funny comment from Dani girl Sunday morning she is a picky eater but loves bacon:
we told her she could eat some bacon inside the rv if she wanted she wispered to Angela:
"I want to eat like everyone else and sit with the group."

Here is angela's "goop recipe"
1 lb. browned hamburger
1 small velveeta cheese or 1/2 of a large (broken in to pieces)
1 8 ounce pkg of creem cheese
1 small can diced chilis
1 can Hormel chili
optional 1 small can diced jalopenos (drained)
place all ingredients into a crock pot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until melted or on High for 1-2 hours once it starts to melt, stir and allow to continue to cook until well mixed and creamy.
