Not Chrismas Tree Pass, but Backroad TO Christmas Tree Pass. Rated a "2". Meet at the McDonald's / Terrible's in Searchlight at 8:00am March 13th. Roll at 8:30. New trail! I've asked old timers, no one seems to have run this one (I'm sure some one has). A splendid time is guarenteed for all! Hope to see you all there.

I have driven it alot there is a spring back there in spring of course in grapevine canyon where i hear grapes grow if you hit them up are the right time of the year. I have not seen them grow to be eatible though. There are a couple of mines back there but from my understanding there are also crazy people who guard them like jonnie mines. While we will cross Christmas Tree Pass Road, 90% of the run will not be on Xmas Tree Pass Road or the Grapevine Canyon. That's all I'm saying to describe the run. Come out and find out.

Camping is a great idea! We're meeting in Searchlight. Smudgen's is pretty close to Searchlight. Sounds perfect! For Frank: we head out near Cal-Nev-Ari and end at CTP.

never been down to searchlight before. i know you take the 95 down towards boulder city, then follow it as it breaks off before going into boulder. could someone just pass me some vague directions? also roughly how long is the drive from vegas to the mc donalds? im coming from Pahrump.

cant miss it but its basically 31 miles from the 95 railroad pass turn off just east of Hendertucky

once you're headed south on 95 you realy can't miss searchlight, it's the only stop sign on us95 until you reach interstate 40 in california.

you're right dave. my bad so beerman you'll know you're in searchlight when you get slowed down to 25mph and there are stop signs to the right and left of you.

give yourself about an hour to get to vegas from pahrump and about another hour to get to searchlight.
