Ok, After a few failures and changes of plan I decided to run the Lucy Grey Mine. Meet in Jean, Nv 25 miles South of town at exit 12 off I-15. Turn West off the exit and we'll meet at the Shell Station at 0800 and leave at 0830, January 30th 2010. this will give people plenty of time to prepare. Last time we ran this trail we had a club record of 42 vehicles. We hope no records will be broken this time, but if they are: Great! There are great views, old mining townsite of Sunset, and the mine itself. Rated a 2.5 as there are a couple of rough spots, but every one should make it through without a problem.

Sorry Tom, Wanda and I will miss this one. We will be at the Southwest Crawlfest in St. George, UT for that weekend.

Maybe February....

I will go if everybody brings me a birthday present. I will be 55 that day and therefore too old to go without presents and maybe a nurse to help me along

does 55 make this a senior discount/AARP run?
just so tom doesn't have to deal with the geriatric issues and lead the run, i volunteer to go along to make sure everyone gets back to pavement.
adventure before dementia.

Tom: Which way do you plan on going after we leave Jean? I'm trying to follow the possible routes on Garmin BaseCamp.

Thanks
Frank

Hello all. New to the Nevada trails here and wondering if I could come hang out and hit the trails with you all on the 30th. I think my Jeep WJ can make it. I've got all the required goodies (2" lift, CB, first aid, tow strap, hooks front and hitch in rear, fire ext). My spare is the factory donut, is that okay?

Brian

Hi Brian. All monthly Club Runs must be doble by any 4x4. Your Grand should make it just fine, it might get some desert pinstriping though. As far as the factory donut is concerned, you should really get a full size spare. You should be fine this time. But you never know what the future may hold.
