I would like to do the Oct club run. It would be the same run Brad did several years ago to Picture Rock. I always liked that run and I am thrilled to go there again. Dawn went on my pre-run and got a beautiful picture of a lake with trees and birds , and clouds. Who knows what picture you can get. There also is several mines we will be stopping at. Bring lunch. Meet at Jean at 8:30 and roll at 9:00 at the Shell station.Rex :D :D All club runs must be stock friendly which wouldn't be over a 2+ rating. I would say this run would be rated a 1.5. PS: Wear Shoes no flipflops.

I haven’t been on this trail but last I checked all club runs are required to be doable with a stock 4x4, so your Rubi should be fine. Maybe some desert pin striping.

Elisabeth and I are planning on going.

please read the topic in the club info forum about the differance between official club runs vs fun runs. that should answer your questions. 8)

There are lots of rocks and some washouts but nothing a stock 4x4 couldn't do. Any stock 4x4. However there are some loose rocky inclines that only a 4 wheel drive can make it. Therefore any 2 wheel drive vehicles show up I must turn them away. Rex

One thing I didnot put in the trail rating is you will get desert pen-stripping. Rex

If you could only see some of places I have been in my Scout, you'd likely think I was out to destroy it. When you can scare your 73 year old dad enough to make him get out and walk, that's saying something

maybe stop at pioneer saloon for the obligatory post-club-run tribute to clark and carole?
can't have adult beverages on a run, yet once we are done.....
