Sorry I didn't make this run. I was on my way there when my check engine light came on. I decided not to do the trip, would not want to have mechanical problems on the trail at night.

Great run, we had a very good time. Weather coudn't have been much better for an August run.

bittersprings is one of the "locals" secrets.
really appreciate every one's feedback on the first night run and first official club run that i have lead.
it was different not being behind a spare tire on the trail, especially one without a bouncing smiley face leading the way.
all my thanks go to the pre-runners, tom, dawn, and marilyn. we got purty turned around the first pre-run on 8/1 which necessitated the 2nd pre-run with tom and dawn so i wouldn't lose my way with 18 jeeps/vehicles in the dark.
my navigator dawn had all the coordinates down at the turns that evening and we even retrieved my home made markers, wal-mart bags, on the final trip.
long and strange as it was....
3am was the time i turned toward home.
if you haven't been a trail leader yet, just do it. everyone has the opportunity and i know there are other "locals" only trails out there.
trukdj, hope the idiot light was a simple fix.
gary, i mixed up a few dates myself. missed my senior prom and went to Winterland for a Dead show, my date ended up in his tux dancing right along.
good time was had by all then and by the feedback, now too.
promise to get my trail report for the newsletter.....

Yeah, it was a fun time. Thanks for leading Beth, et al. Jasmine had a great time and so did I. She was itching to get out in the dirt and the temps were perfect for her to go, too.
