Logandale Loop Trail
October 18th
Logandale Chevron (North I-15 exit 93/logandale-overton)
Meet: 08:30
Roll: 09:00
Trail: 2.5

Trail begins and ends at the same location.
Scenic with petroglyphs and great views of red sand and sandstone mountains, sometimes a few good wildlife sightings.
Soft loose sand, Sandstone slickrock, gravel and a few hills to climb or decend. Spotting may be needed on one or two spots. The worst obstacle (3+) is at the very begining/end and is optional for those who wish to try it. Lunch at the main petroglyph panel with an optional hike to the box canyon for more petroglyphs and scenery.
Air down will be required due to sand unless you want recovery training.
Air available at Chevron for 0.75 and at Maverick for 0.50?
And just to make it complete there is an Ice Cream shop in Overton, The Inside Scoop.

Pics from the pre-run.

Have fun. I'm going to be on call so I know I won't be able to make it since it seems no one can go 5 minutes with out bouncing their car off of something or someone else on the freeways. We're close to averaging one fatality a day in Vegas alone :?

Gary,,, sounds like 'job security' to me !! Wish you could make it... As for me,, I need dirt so bad !! The Jeep seems to be running well and I'm regaining faith in it... But,, financially,, that's another story... I'll try my best to make it,, but no promisses.. Possible "strike" at work,, if that happens,, well.... It seems that I just can't win....... Phil :?

Just got back from doing Matterhorn and part of hawkins trail. Matterhorn was awesome and Hawkins has been washed out to about a class 2.5 or 3 the section we ran was really narrow with some skid banging sections. I thought I did well to get my 118" wheelbased tacoma through with no side damage (besides some desert pinstriping of course)

Im looking forward to running the loop with all you backroaders the 18th and I might bring sandy with me again this time.

Where is the start location? I think we'll be able to make it.

As you enter Logandale from I-15, it is the first gas station you come to.

Not a problem. Iusually remember the meeting place, but I can't remember what time. I always have to keep checking that. :? I think I might have the same thing Cabbie Phil has...CRS or CRAFT.

Bob,,, that's not good to hear !! After all,, you ARE the 'Trail Boss' !! Might that explain the "at least one wrong turn" deal on earlier runs ?? Trust me ,, it get's worse !! I've already checked this page at least 6 times,, just to back engineer it from the start time, so that I can leave Henderson in enough time to get there !!!!!!! I'm figureing at least 1 hour plus a little,, and then CJ will have to stop for food at Mc D's,,, and then top off the fuel tank,,, oh damn,,, I forgot where I was going,, let me check the page again !!! This is futile... See ya there,,, (I HOPE) Phil
