i'm going to run this a little differant then in previous trips. i plan on jumping on the powerline road out of whisky pete's and run in up to the mine then return to the powerline road and take it over to the ghost town of rosalie california near valley wells and the kingston road/cima road intersection of I15. should be fun as long as i don't miss any turns and could be more fun if i do.

This should be fun.. Brad, does this stop at the 'Greens Cabin' ? Rosalee is a really neat place to see.. Is 'Vanderbilt' in this trip ?? CJ & I plan to be there,, if the budget allows.. Maybe another record # of vehicles !!! More tarantula's maybe ?? Should be a great day in the dirt !! Phil

we will be visiting greens cabin but vanderbilt is on the other side of the ivanpah valley. oh well, another day. shouldn't be any tarantula's as the males are finished with their "walkabout" and should be food for the females by now. bummer, big hairy spiders are always a hit with the newbies. 8)

Thanks Brad, for leading a most excellent run today. It was so nice having you leading, with the super informative narrations...one of the reasons I really loved this club from the beginning. It's been too long.

It was nice seeing some new faces. and seeing folks I haven't seen for a while...another reason I love this club. :D

Here are the pics I took of today's run....just click the pic

Thanks Brad for a great day. We had a wonderful day yesterday. The trip into Baker to visit the best ice cream stop was good! Good pictures Phil and Joe (altho I could have done without the one of the dead coyote, Phil). Looking forward to the next time.

Here's our pics: Image

Thanks Brad,
Your knowledge of the Mojave is amazing, I really appreciate you sharing it with us, it brings the run to a whole new level.

It was great to be out and see old and new friends

Hi all -
Well I don't have a fancy site or anything so I've just uploaded my pictures to one of my sites. It's a parent directory, so just click a picture and it'll open or open in new tab (mozilla or IE7).
These are just a few of the pictures I took and the ones I've edited down a tad - my camera takes very large (45 inches by 30 inches) and 4MB pictures. If there are any problems please let me know. Becasue they are large files, if you are on dial up it may take a bit.
Issak

www.GreyhawkOnline.com/nvbkrd for the parent directory
0124 - Starting Point
0140 - just a small hill
0155 - the Valley Opens Wide - I was in the last 5 or so trucks, and this is after someones truck broke down, so I believe that the truck the furthest down the trail is only the 2nd half of the trucks. Overall, I really like this picture. What a view!
0176 - this is at the mine. all the trucks are huddled together and the beautiful mtn behind us
0195 - the mine and its beauty. is that a ripple in the water? hey did we lose a kid? oh, no? sorry!
0224 - just a picture of the mountain
0253 - Mike and Elisabeth's Tracker going over the small "blip" before the end. This had to be the hardest part of the whole trip.
0267 - Issak and Dusty the Chihuahua going over the "blip". Notice the dirt? That's only because I had fun slightly earlier letting the dogs run around!
0282 - the final rallying point
Enjoy
Issak
