Posting this as a back up so more folks might see it. Feel free to post here or in the camping/exploring forum. http://www.nevadabackroaders.com/v-web/ ... .php?t=923

I'm going up for a pre run on the 16th, 17th & 18th of Feb. I'm going up Friday night (likely around 6, maybe 7) so I can be there to head out early enough Saturday to try to get as much in as I can. Then staying over that night, coming back Sunday, maybe in town by noonish.

Trail condition is unknown. Might be snow (highly likely I hear) or wash outs. Maybe some road repairs to be made, but if it's not stock friendly, or can be made so, we won't do it.

Looking to hit at least one trail, my primary pick. If we run into issues where we have to call it off, I know other trails (back up pre runs) and sites to see to make it worth the trip for anyone coming up. Other wise I might just go look at real estate

Anyone is welcome to tag along or meet me up there when ever. So you could come up Sat and stay the night, or both nights if anyone wants to go up Friday night. Got room at the house if you want to stay there too. Let me know by posting here or the other post.

I'd go Gary, but I have to work that weekend at the casino. I'll be working both of my days off. It will be a nice 12 day in a row work week with 16 hours OT. I'm not going to complain, it will help with things I need to get for the Jeep. Maybe I can work two doubles on my weekend, too. That would really rack up the $$$.

I can't make it either Gary. Too much to do around the house before the Death Valley run. Plus Matt's asthma has been acting up all week and I don't want to take him on a trip that long.

No problem. I'll be sure to take lots of pics to entice the June trip.

Loading pics to post when I can, took over 400. If I can hit all the places for the official run (checking to see if a couple are really off limits), it will be a very memorable run. A couple of the spots I was in, I might have been trespassing, but it was very well worth it. One even made my top 3 for ghost mines/towns :D

You pass by my inlaws place? They are still up for hosting the group so long as we let them know way ahead of time. My father in law said that he would let us camp out this year for free at his place north of Caliente through the Gorge. He eventually is going to open it as an RV / Camp park but for now he has just done some rough grading. Not sure if this is ideal or if you want to find a campground or something more in the trees.

I've probably been by there a few times since then and not known it

This year I'm putting up anyone that wants to camp out at my cousins place since he has some acreage. But tell him I'll definitely put his name out there once he gets his park up and going for next years events.

If everything goes right this Wed, I might be a neighbor of his soon
