Plan on running the Matterhorn/Bowl Trail. I've been on it a few times before and have the tracks for my GPS to follow.

Meeting at the gas station in Glendale at 8a roll out at 8:30a. Exit 90, if I remember correctly, off I-15.

Last weekend to play in the desert before the new year arrives!! :D

I just called Rubicon Rob, who I talked into going also. He can lead us. He said that you should be okay Phil. There are go arounds for mostly if not all of the obstacles. I think with some good spotting, you should be okay on some of the obstacles even. The trail is pretty hard, but not that bad. It should be a fun day.

I'm glad to hear that you are going, Lucy. You got to get out and unwind after golfing last weekend. So did you win???

Sorry Andy  I know how you like that trail, but maybe when you get back into town and get settled back home, we could plan a run out there. Don't forget Potato Ridge on the 20th of January with Moab Jeeper Magazine!! I know you like that one, too. We'll get out sometime, that's for sure.

After the stress of out-of-town family staying here & holidays, I need to unwind! My son is coming along, too. I'm leaving Zinger at home due to the rough spots on the trail. Golf? We played that 18 hole putting course, actually. While I felt I didn't totally embarrass myself (I don't play too much), I came in last by 1 stroke. I'd like to play more often, really - but at the cost of off-roading? Never! :)

Hey y'all! Been a LONG time! I might be able to make this run tomorrow and was wondering exactly where the meeting place is. I'm not familiar with that I15 exit or Glendale reference (I don't get out much!). Can someone please provide directions and approximate drive time coming from I-15 and Blue Diamond Rd?

Thanks! Hope to see you tomorrow!

JT

North on I-15 towards Logandale. Glendale Exit 90 is the small town on the edge of the reservation right on the north side of the interstate.

If anyone is coming up on SR 95 from the Henderson area, a few of us are meeting at the Dunn-Edwards paint store on the NE side of Tropicana once you get off the freeway. Make a right (or east) on Trop and the paint store is on the left. We are meeting there at 7a sharp and heading up to the Glendale meeting place.

See you all there!!!

Joe,,, after looking at your pix of the Matterhorn trail,,, I'm shakin' in my boots... I almost changed my mind,, but CJ said let's try it... You did say that there are go arounds,,, right ?? We'll be on the road by 7, so maybe we can catch you guys on the road... Remember,,, I'm the 'little guy',,, so some spotting will be in order... Phil

You'll be fine, Phil. There are go-arounds if you don't feel comfortable on some of the more difficult obstacles.

No one will leave you alone. There will be plenty of great spotters in this group!!

See you there!! :D
