Looks like we missed a good one. Can't wait to hear the story. So, it looks like jeeps don't float! Sounds like a good campfire story for next weekend.

Sheila and I made it home just fine, well with the exception of me getting more bruises. As ya'll look through the pictures that are posted and the others that I am sure will be, note that at no time did I get out of my Jeep while it was in the LITTLE puddle....

Wow, looks like I missed a great run. Do I see a snorkel in your future mods, Andy?? Image
Nice pictures, David. Image Our pictures have a similar style. Sorry I didn't get out and have the chance to meet you. Maybe on the Club Run next week.

The pics of Andy in the water...Wow, that was close.

It's been a bad week for radiators, Phil. First Mike, then me, then...I hope it's not you.

Awesome shots, too!! It appeared that Andy was prepared to go down with the ship. I'm really glad he didn't have to though.

I can't believe how low the water level is. That is just amazing. Wow.

another trail for out-of-town guests who ask "what do you people DO here for fun?" when they expect to get chauffered to one more casino.
with all the excitement, i didn't even miss not seeing any desert critters.
one beetle at the first stop with the "road washed out" warning sign.
we drove down anyway.

I just wanted to say thanks to all for the great day on the trail even though i could get my rig all of the way through and for being understanding of it being my first trail lead. I need to thank Andy and Sheila for helping me to be able to even go. I am really sorry to hear about your radiator Joe. When everyone gets a chance please send me a message with your name so i don't get it wrong and so I can make sure I don't miss anyone with my litte report I need to do. Thanks to all again.

Woo Hoo!!! The Jeep starts under its own power again. I didn't have to take the starter out, I just sprayed WD-40 in the drain hole and tapped on the front of it and it works again. I just got done checking the fluids and they all look good with the exception of the transmission. I don't have the tool to open the plug so I didn't check. I am going to assume it is okay for now but either way I am going to have the fluids changed soon.

Sheila tells me that my driving priviledges for the next two to three runs have been revoked... so when was that hang gliding thing?

The bruises should go away in a week or so right?

P.S. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped me after I yelled like a girl....

Vick's Vapor Rub works good on getting bruises to quite hurting and go away.

Unless it's raining, there's no water to deal with next week, but there are a few steep drop off's here and there
