Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any runs that they might be thinking about doing on Nov. 11. I could lead a run but The only one i know enough to lead would be burro wash. I could lead that one or follow someone else.

Mike,,, sounds like fun... CJ & I will go... Haven't done that trail in a while... It's a fun trail,,, with some beautiful scenery,, and a few 'interesting' spots to get thru.... It's relitively short so we can start a little later,,, say maybe 9 AM... and still be off the trail by 4.... Great lunch break by the lake... Phil

I'd probably be up for Burro Wash. That will be my first day of vacation. I would like to go wheelin' every day. :D

Burro wash it is,(for those that may not have done this trail it is an in and out) we could meet at the railroad pass casino parking lot at 9am roll out at 9:30. I am not really sure how long it will take to do. I do know that when me and the family a month ago, i think that some spots have gotten a little more challanging. Eat lunch at the river. One thing about the river the water level is down a ways. Don't think we can play in the water. :( . We could also end up at the A&W for rootbeer floats. Please let me know how this sounds to all. I may not get a chance to pre-run it first. hope that is ok? Would you all say that most of the trail is about a 1.0-1.5 and when we get close to the river it gets to a 2.0-2.5?

That all sounds good to me Mike. Since it is a "Fun Run" and not a "Club Run", I wouldn't worry about a pre-run. You put down what you think the worst rating is and folks can judge by that whether they want to go or not. I personally think it's more fun not knowing what lies ahead of you.

You've picked the trail, the time, and the place. Whoever shows, will show. :P

bad news all, my radiator tank cracked today and is leaking a fair amount, I can't get it fixed until after this weekend. I will try to get some stop leak to get me through the weekend and the run. I am open to all suggestions for help or ideas.

thanks all.

Stay home. The last place you want a band aid to fall off is on the trail, far away from tools, parts, etc.

Unless you have a place in mind to fix, try calling Pickart & Son in Henderson, ask for Phil Goodwin, tell him Gary Bodell sent you. He'll let you know if it's fixable or needs a replacement (most newer radiators are easier/cheaper to replace) and he does good honest work.

Thanks gary, i called them and they said they could retank it for me, but unfortunatily i can't get it fixed until after the weekend. Sorry all, I feel bad and hope that you can still do the run, I will be more than happy to lead it at a later date.

Sorry to hear about the radiator. What Gary said makes good sense. I'd hate to see you do the quick fix just to get out in no man's land and have the radiator blow leaving your vehicle broke down. It would be wise to get it fixed first.

Next weekend at the club run, you can get your fix then. :P

Well, I'll step up and lead the run for those who still want to go uless someone else wants to lead. Phil? You've done it a few times haven't you? You seem to know the trail pretty well. Would you like to lead?

If you still want to do Burro Wash or something else, I'm game!!! Just let me know.

I unfortunately don't have GPS tracks for Burro Wash. I think we did it shortly after my Jeep was stolen and I didn't get my GPS replaced before we went. I have the route mapped out, but not the tracks on my topo map program.

So, post up your thoughts or suggestions.

Cool, Justin, you can lead!!! Mike sent me the tracks and I'll download them tonight. There's only a few places that can get you turned around if I remember right. You think you should follow the trail, but instead it should be the wash and vice versa.

See you there!!!
