Nevada Backroaders

I'm doing a pre-run of the November run next Wed, Oct 25th. It will be out of Searchlight, heading south on US 93 to the Christmas Tree Pass turn off. From there we'll hit an old homestead on Spirit Mtn., south past some mine ruins and to a very scenic power line road which will drop us back onto SR 163 just west of the turn off to Grapevine Canyon, which we'll take to bring us back over Christmas Tree Pass and back to where we went in. Last November, it was a cake rating of 1, but due to the recent rains, who knows. Most of the route is county/company maintained, so it shouldn't be too bad, likely 2x all the way through. It should only take about 4 hours max, so we could even stop at Grapevine if anyone wanted to hike to the glyph's.

Meet at the Terrible's Chevron on the left in Searchlight at 8, roll at 8:30 AM. I'm hoping to get it over early so I can check out some alternate routes from Searchlight to the trail head, in order to maybe cut out the 14 miles or so of yuppie trail.......,er I mean asphalt

and i need to fiddle with a few things on the Jeep.
