Meeting: SR 95 and Cold Creek (Indian Springs Prison turnoff) exit.

Meeting Time: 8 am

Departing Time: 8:30 am sharp

Duration of Run: It will be a long day for the whole run, but you can break off after Wheeler's Pass, or before Potato Ridge. Your choice.

Trails to be run: Wheeler's Pass, Trout Canyon to Lovell Canyon, Potato Ridge to Red Rock

What to bring: Lunch, snacks, camera, drinks, friends...etc.

Trail Ratings: Nothing most of us haven't been through before. Potato is the hardest but only in the rock garden. It may be a 3-3.5 but there are some easier lines to take for those with open diffs and some good spotting.

I live near Trop/Pecos and it will take approximately 45 minutes to get to the meeting place. It's about 42 miles. So plan accordingly.

See you there!!!

I would have to say that Wheeler pass if my favorite trail. The rock garden and the low road are great. Wish i could go on a mid week run. Hope you all have fun, maybe the trail has changed again due to the rain??

Just an FYI: I talked to someone who said that Rocky Gap (Potato) was hammered from the rains, they tried it Sunday in mostly stock Jeep. But they hadn't seen it in 3 years either, so I don't know if it was the same as it has been lately or worse. Might be an issue for Wheeler too. Better take some shovels

Yeah, you may be right on the trails changing due to the rains. We we were up on Angel Peak Saturday, it wasn't raining as hard as it was in the valley. Maybe it didn't rain that hard in the areas we will be going on Wednesday. I hope it's not too bad anyway.

I guess we'll find out then. Thanks for the info!!!

Well, I'm still planning on meeting y'all in the A.M. as long as I don't get called in to work tomorrow. I'm really excited and look forward to meeting some new folks, seeing some familiar faces and getting on the trail!

Sound advice, thanks Joe! Man, I haven't been out on the trail in SO long I almost forgot how to put the Rubi into 4WD!!! So, I think it's high time to reacquaint the Jeep with the environment Mother Nature had intended for her to live and thrive in. Not to mention the LONG overdue stress relief for me!! See you in the A.M.

   I was just getting ready to wheel this morning when I discovered some low-life scumbag broke into our Tahoe. So, instead of wheelin' this morning I'll be filling out police reports, etc. I hope the parasite gets rectal cancer, dies a long and agonizing death and burns in hell.

Anyway, you guys and gals have fun, be safe & take lots of pics. See you soon.

Sorry to hear about the bad news. Not the best way to start the day.
