I can be there on the 18th. I'm sure Rex and Shirley would like to go also. And maybe Beth. Let us know what time and where to meet!

Joe is on vacation in OH until the 13th so I am hoping he will be able to go on the 18th since he has some trails in mind but if not I'm sure we can figure something out.

I hope I can switch the day off with someone at work but I won't know until I get back from Ohio on Friday.

Is this a day run? overnite campout run? Long day, short day?

I was thinking of Trout Canyon across to Lovell then finish with Potato Ridge. That would take us up to the mountains, trees, and fresh air then a little fun through Potato Ridge. We just had some stock vehicles go through there and they had very little problems with some good spotting.

Since I'm in Ohio right now and I don't have my maps, I can't think of anything else right now.

I was planning on going to Angel Peak on Saturday the 14th the day after I get back to Vegas, but could postpone that one for the 18th and go somewhere else on the 14th.

What do you all think?

We could do Wheeler's Pass from Cold Creek, then head up to Trout Canyon to Lovell and then finish with Potato Ridge. That would be a good day run. We would have to start early in the morning say around 8 am. With minimal stops we should be able to get all the way through before it gets dark.

I don't think I could get both Wed and Thurs off with this short of notice and since I'm still in Ohio, I can't talk to the guys who have those days off. So, for an overniter I would need more notice to get things arranged especially for a Wed/Thurs overnite run. If I have to, I will call off work on Wednesday for the day run. I'll have to wait to see if that is an option or not.

That sounds like a plan to me. 0800 Wed. the 18th. Now where is the nearest meeting place so we can set this trip in stone?

Most of the time the club meets at the exit to Cold Creek. For those who don't know where that is exactly...take SR 95 north. Before you get to the town of Indian Springs, you will make a left hand turn off SR 95 to Cold Creek. It is the exit to the Indian Springs prisons. We meet right at the turn off.

We can meet there at 8 am and leave at 8:30 am. We will be on CB ch. 4 as usual. Bring drinks and lunch. There are two places you can break off if you need to be home earlier. One is after Wheeler's Pass when we hit pavement, the second will be when we get into Lovell Canyon. Those of us who are daring enough, and have the time, can make it across Potato Ridge into the Red Rock loop ending the run for the day.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find someone to switch with. If not, I may have to call off. Oh well.

Any good trailer parking? Or will we come out a ways from where we start?
