We will lead Logandale loop friday Aug 11th as a night run, 2 days after the full moon. Meeting at the Logandale Chevron at 7:30pm and rolling at 8:00pm. The trail rates a tough 2.0 due to the lack of moisture in the sand. Airing down will be mandatory as well as tow straps, and a possible line up order depending on the rigs that show up. Otherwise, the sand at night should be beutiful, and we should have lots of fun. I only have the Loop planned and not the overton wash. so we will have extra time to play on the dunes or help eachother when needed, as well as stops for pictures, petroglyphs and a break in the box canyon. I expect to be off the trail around 12 or 1230 at the latest.

Prerun pics to follow.

Sounds like you have everything covered. Hopefully I'll be in town so I can make this run. I've been out there in the early mornings and the sand is very dry, it just makes it more fun and will give everyone practice driving in the stuff. I can't wait.

Hey Steve...it's more like "what didn't he do". And what happened as a result of that.

how can i put it? i'm the reason justin posted that "airing down will be mandatory" . i run 30 psi in d.d.'s tires and that was just a little to much for the conditions. that sand is really, really, dry and soft. 8)

Almost. After Brad aired down, He was able to very slowly get himself unstuck. I don't think he wanted to see a picture of D.D. on the wrong end of a strap or winch.

This sounds like fun... I see a pattern here... You guys are hiding something... I know my tire pressures for this run... It will be fun and sort of reminiscent of my days (or nights) on Assateague Island in Maryland... I would like to cellebrate my birthday out on the trail... I will turn 57 on this run... Wah Hooo !!! I can't think of a better place to be !!!! It's a Friday night !!! Let's Rock !!!! Phil

I just ran up to Logandale Trails because it was raining -Very Hard. I would say you might just run into a few washouts. Shouldn't change it much since it's mostly sand there, but you never know. Took some pics with my phone and if they look good when I download them I will upload a pic or two of the water flowing down the road. The whole road was a river, it went up to the middle of my wheels when we crossed it.
Then took some backroads home and got a lot MUDDY- everyone watch Justin because we know his track record in Logandale Trails

I will be out of town and won't make this run - Have fun.

Here is a pic. Sorry for the quality -I only had my camera phone at the time.

alright, I'm asking off for this special event.

will my humble 30-inch tires handle the sand out there? never been there.
