Started a new thread over here. It doesn't have to be right on the night of the full moon, somewhere close would probably work. A Friday run might be a good idea for a change, Gary, I think there are a couple of other people that can only do a night run on a Friday. There's alot of Summer left and alot of places to go at night.

Any Saturday that is close to the full moon is sufficeint. The Illumination is around 95% anyway. And Friday works as well.

As soon as everyone's back from Ely, start throwing in some suggestions. We need some new trail leaders too. Anyone can do it :D . I'm sure between Bob, Craig, Gary and myself and anyone else with a trail idea, we'll get some good stuff lined up to do for the rest of the Summer. Logandale Trails and Arrow Canyon seem to be sure things so far.

Steve

i still have some vacation time to use.

Scuba Steve,,, if you were refering to me,,, thanks for the confidence,, but,, I've only run Arrow Canyon once,, in the day time,,, with 3 silly teenagers rattleing on most of the time... To ask me to lead a "night" run,,, backwards,,, would be a comedy of errors.... I definately want to do the run,,, but,, with my 'CRS',,, and no 'GPS',,, I would have no clue where we were going.... I truly like 'following' those that 'know where they are going',,, even if we take some wrong turns from time to time... CJ & I are up for this run,,, but with "competent" leadership !!! Phil

I believe he was referring to me. I don't know if I'm competent, but I have Arrow on GPS so if I could lead it. Just make sure your car insurance is paid up to date

I'd say either the 21st or 28th, depending on which is best for the majority.

I'd like to see a lake run too, say Boathouse, Burro or :?:

I know I have not been on a run in quite sometime, but I started two classes after the club run I went on. I should have my associates degree at the end of this semester. Anyways, what is the rating on this trail? I would really like to go and I'm trying my hardest to get my friend Dawn to come along. I have weekend duty this weekend, so I'm not able to do anything for this weekend, but am open for the following weekends. Also, when is the next Logandale run? I'm itching to play in the sandbox, but don't want to slide the jeep down a hill again.

Arrow was the run we did for CJ's birthday. It would be the one outside Moapa with the big slot canyon and the numerous Native American sites. The way we ran last it, East to West, rated it about a 1.5 IIRC. But by going West to East, we'd eliminate the steep hill climbs that new or less experienced folks may not want to tackle in the dark, and make the run overall easier. Plus it'd put us in the slot canyon later in the evening, which might be better for the experience.

I'll gladly set it up and lead it, but it will be next Friday or later as I really need to figure out what gremlin is causing my CB issues. Maybe I'll just buy Steve's Jeep, that would fix it
