I had a great time. It was nice to see everyone again and the new faces. Hopefully something will be put together for a night run out to Logandale. That should be pretty fun on the sand at night  . Thanks Stan and Cathy for the cake and ice cream, Shirley for the lo-cal cookies :D , and Mike for showing up in his Pinz ( we hadn't been on a run together for over a year). If I don't make it to Ely, have fun and bring warm clothes, it was cold up there the other night.

I had a great time taking all of you out. Although the approaching storms had me concerned. I'm glad everybody had fun. S&C thanks for the desserts. John, I didn't hear any complaints from you or anybody else, so you must have done good.

BTW, when I got home, after I parked in the garage I trying starting Rubi again. Battery will be getting replaced tommorrow.

Steve I was just thinking a Full Moon night run in Logandale Trails would be nice. I will check the moon phase and maybe organize one. I think it would be fun.

Full moon run? But my claws make it hard to shift..and my bushy eyebrows make it hard to see. Don't get me started on coordinating gas, clutch and brake with them hairy hind paws either.

A full moon run sounds fun. Rubicon Bob had talked about putting this run together so you might check with him in case he has some other ideas.

Only problem is the next 3 full moons happen during the week. Next full moon on a weekend is in Oct. Sept is on a Thursday though.

http://www.moonphases.info/full_moon_ca ... dates.html

I'd like to run Arrow Canyon at night, and I think going backward would be best. That way the steep climbs are all down hill for the inexperienced/stockers and it would be fully dark by the time you hit the slot canyon. And anyone is welcome to lead it if they want, just pick a date. If I were to do it, I'd be up for the end of this month. And a Friday night too if it helps get a few more members out.

Hey, I just read this on the RubiconOwners Forum. Seems like Mac might of had an electrifying experience while he was out with us.

He also melted the relay for his rock lights and the control panel cover for the winch.

He also said that he had other electronic issues that appeared on his way home. Maybe that is what happened to my battery.

I guess we all were pretty lucky out there.

There is a good chance Macs damage happened on his way home. I caught him and followed him for a long way on our way home and the lightning was pretty intense it was close enough that when it hit it lit up everything like daylight around us. I didn't have any electrical issues but I managed to destroy a shock. Oh well.

Hey Mac, I had some meltdown Saturday night, too. When I left the trail and hit the pavement, I went for the highbeams and my KC's and all I got were my highbeams. I thought I lost a ground, but here to find out today that I had this:
Image

This is the fuse to the relay for my KC's. It melted the fuse, the holder, and a little of the wire.

There had to be some major electricity in the air that night.

Easy fix and I hope that is all.
