No Official Club Run is scheduled for June, however Gene & Coral & Smudgen will be leading a great little fun run out of Searchlight visiting a mine he recently found, having lunch at Pine Springs, and finishing the day at McCollough Springs. We’ll meet in the big lot across from the
Searchlight Nugget Casino at 0830 and roll out at 0900. This trail should rate a 1.5. For more info contact Gene at 702/461-2314.

Sounds like fun. Hey Geno, ask Smudge if the campground is going to be open for business.

The last time I talk to Gene, they where in a campground out there near Searchlight.

I know he had the radiator out of the bus, and not sure when he will get it fixed, or replaced.
But give him a call, and he can tell you if there are any spots open out there.

I called Geno earlier this afternoon. The radiator is at the shop  , hopefully he will find out soon what is going to happen with it. Geno is suppose to let me know the verdict. We may do Smudge's campground if fixed, :? or we may stay at Cree's rv park, if not yet fixed. Geno is going to check to see if it is ok to have tents at the rv park if needed. Whatever the case may be, somehow we will have a camping experience to remember.

Stay tuned for updates.

Of course we have a new game  . But depending upon who shows up, it may wait for Ely. I'm sure that we can come up with some other easier campfire games. You'll just have to come out to see.

Like grab and remove the burning log without getting burnt. Actually did it once and won. Ahh, what fun you have when alcohol is involved.

I picked up the radiator yesterday, Hope to have it in by tomarrow. It looks like Smudgons campground will be open for business. We should have a great time. It is always about 10 or 15 degrees cooler than in Vegas. If you have any questions call 702-461-2314. :P

I talked to Geno today. Smudgeon"s campground will be OPEN for business this weekend. :D

For our newer members and guests, all this talk about the campground is an extra thing that some of us like to do. It is in no way shape or form, a requirement to go on the run. If you are interested in the run only, come on out. If you would like to go join us camping (or RVs), you are more than welcome to join us. The more the merrier. 8)

This will be the last post on this thread about the campground. I will start a new one about camping.

I'm going to try to make this run too. Been busy with refinancing and getting contractor work done to my house, plus trying to get stuff lined up and done before July rolls around. Not to mention my ever growing project list

I'm trying to decide if I want to go on this run or go to the lake with my friend Dawn. I tried to get her to come with me, but she really wants to go to the lake and is a little skeptic about the whole wheeling thing due to Andy almost rolling the Jeep. Hard decision to make. :? I also think the camping thing is a good idea, but I have a ginormous tent and I really don't want to have to haul all that crap myself. But, we'll see when the weekend gets closer.

hello all, we are looking forward to being there for this run, but we had a couple questions. Are there camp grounds to stay sat. night? if so what do they have there? dry camping? also is there a fee? Thanks to all for the info.

mike and tanya

we had a lot of fun on the Lola run, and added some more dints.
