here's the deal, cj has been after me to lead arrow canyon if it ever became open again. well, it's open and now is a good time because it's cj's birthday on friday the 14th. so we'll be running arrow canyon on saturday april 15th. we'll meet in glendale at the sinclair gas/cafe/mini-mart at 0800 and roll at 0830. glendale is exit 90 off of northbound I15. it's the exit before logandale/overton. bring lunch as this will be an all day trip. the trail rates a level 2 because of a few steep decents/accents on the back half. come and cheer on cj as he drives phil's jeep up dead bug butte. any questions call me at 497-9154. 8)

Thanks Brad,,, :D we are so up for this run... CJ should be in 'rare' form as he will have just returned from 4 days in Tahoe with his Mom and grandparents on Friday... :) He won't 'chicken out' this time,,, he's going to drive "Dead Bug" and I'll take video... :P We plan to bring Anthony too, as he loved the last time out... This should really blow his mind as to what "off-road" is all about... I hope to have my sway bar disconects installed by then, so this will give me a test of the difference...

See ya there !!! Phil & CJ

After talking about Arrow Canyon during our outing last Monday I promptly changed my schedule to ensure I was off on the 15th. So, I'll be there. I'm going to try convince my girlfriend to come along for the ride. I've taken her offroad once and she enjoyed it...even though it took a couple of hours for the white knuckles to return to their normal healthy shade of pink!

Brad,

Count me in for Arrow Canyon. Is anybody planning on doing any wild flower runs? What about Wheeler Pass? Maybe it is time to get some of these together before the heat hits us!!!!

to answer your question, cody, the arrow canyon trail starts and ends in glendale nevada. glendale is exit 90 of off I15 and is about 50 miles north of las vegas. it's past the exit for valley of fire and is the exit just before logandale/overton. the trail it's self is only around 20 to 25 miles long but we take about 6 to 8+ hours to run it. 8)

Will try to have some shocks on the lizzard by then and go party. 8)
Wonder why those went bad already? Been pounding on them for close to a year now. :?

As far as flower runs, I've noticed the Globe Mallow blooming at lower elevation and some Desert Paintbrush at mid elevations, but I would imagine its a bit cool on Wheeler just yet. Could be wrong, but I guess with the later rains this year the end of this month should be just right.
