I will be joining you, I have took Bitter Springs from North Shore Road
but about half way the trail splits and both trails are preety well worn and no BLM markers so I went down one and was not shure that it was the right trail and it was getting dark so I turned around. Looks like its going to be a nice day! :) See you at the indian gas station.

How far away is this from Vegas? A friend in a stock Unlimited wants to go on a run sometime. Would this be stock friendly enough for his Jeep. Everyting is stock including his painsy wrangler tires.

Cody,
Your friend should have no problems, from the Las Vegas Speedway - going N/E towards loandale about 25 miles, the exit is were the indian gas station is that sells all the fireworks(not shur what the exit # is somebody should post it) then from there about 30 miles to North Shore Road.

Go to the gallery pics and there are pictures of Bitter Springs Byway or
go to my web site (yahoo photos) and clik on Bitter Springs.

Anybody have the Exit NO# ?

ED

hey Cody, just make sure your friend understands that the first mile or so is bone-jarring, teeth-rattling washboard.

stock Jeeps like mine do just fine on Bitter Springs. I don't recall having ANY tough challenges on that trail.

Hey Ed. I hope you have a better time finding the trail this time. :P Gene, Coral, Shirley and I will try to think of you guys while we are having fun in Panamint Valley. We will hopefully be learning some new campfire games this weekend. 8)

Take care and have fun. Catch y'all later.

We had a blast in Panamint. No, I didn't get stuck, but Geno did get hung up and needed a strap from me. Water, snow and MUD. Couldn't ask for a better time. And yes Justin, we learned a new game for you.

I hope your run went well.

Only me and ED B. showed up,so ed decided to go to his sons soccer game and me and my friend ran it--perfect day love the Buffington
Pockets, went hiking and found some petrogryths and water holes up in the mountains. Then we ran into Debbie and some of thier hiking members. The road at the begining is really not that bad now.
