Yeah, I think the RUBI CURSE was in full effect...

We had three of six with issues...

Rex and his spring mounts

Brad with his front axle tube seal

and I snapped a swap bar quick disconnect pin (MINOR by comparison).

Just think what we could have done if Rubicon Bob had been out with us! Hehehe!

Okay, for those interested, I got a few pictures up on my Webshots page of our little trip over the El Dorados.

I didn't get as many as I thought I did, but there are a few frames of film left in the camera to develop.

Cool Pics JJ 8) I go to Nelson a lot and have been there many times exploring around. The area you guys were in doesn't look familiar. :? If you ever get a chance to go to the Ora Plata mine, it's really cool with spectacular views.

which is the mine where they had dug in at a slant with all the posts holding the rocks up? that place had some very nice views up on top, and is also where I took the pics of the cholla.

If any or all of this looks familiar then you were at the Ora Plata mine

This is as you are coming up to the Ora Plata mine

This is the building on one side that you see when you get there

And if you go around you see this

jj, if you remember where we first turned right at the powerlines. if we'd have turned left we'd have headed for knob hill and that's where the oro platta mine is. there is a lot more in that area to see then i showed you on monday. we just hit a couple of the highlights. 8)

If I make it back from Moab and Easter Jeep Safari in one piece  , maybe the weekend after Easter we can plan something. That's if there are no Club Runs planned that same weekend.

Brad's right, there are a lot of trails and places to explore in that area. It's a nice, short trip to get there and a lot of fun, too. :D

IIRC the Pack Saddle/Chloride City run was a definite go the weekend after Easter.
