Nevada Backroaders

Just got watching the news and saw we had some snow down in Red Rock. So, as I'm off tomorrow I thought I'd take a ride out there. For anyone off tomorrow that would like to join me I'll be heading out around 0900-1000. I'm thinking of just running around the scenic loop (especially if I'm alone--getting stuck out in the snow without anyone to tow me out isn't my idea of a good time), perhaps even Lovell Canyon Rd. I went out there yesterday and it's not bad.

I did some of the Rocky Gap road at White Spring turnoff or wherever, and it was just fine.....if a Honda Civic can get up there with almost no problems.....

I went back to Rocky Gap today to finish my roll of film to see how the snow had changed things. Road was interesting, but it beat me. I got up to a certian point after a little water crossing and then it got too much for my stock Jeep. got stuck in some mud for a bit and couldn't get over the humps.

then I lost a wheel balance somehow, then I went to Walgreens to have my film processed, my nifty new black and white film (the clouds were awesome yesterday at Red Rocks so I had to try it out). They ruined it.....
